Tax Audit Due Date Extended to Nov 7th 2017 for A.Y 2017-18 F.Y 2016-17

If you did not file your income tax return for the previous year, there may be some good news for you. 

The government has extended the deadline to file income tax returns again from October 31st to November 7th 2017.

Tax payers whose returns are required to get  audited for financial year 2016-17 Assesement year 2017-18 have some more time in their hands to file their returns.

The government has extended the deadline to file income tax returns for such tax payers until November 7th.

“The ‘due-date’ for filing Income Tax Returns and various reports of audit prescribed under the Income-tax Act,1961 was 30th September, 2017.

and it has been further extended from 31st October, 2017 to 7th November 2017 for all taxpayers who were liable to file their Income Tax Returns by 30th September, 2017,” Ministry of Finance said.
